MxSmiles uses documented checks to decide whether a clinic can receive patients. Each clinic must support its profile with licensing, facility, pricing, records, and follow-up information.
Legal and Clinical Credentials
- COFEPRIS registration or applicable facility documentation
- State dental licenses for treating dentists
- Specialty training for implantology, oral surgery, prosthodontics, or endodontics when relevant
- Business identity, address, and ownership verification
Facility and Infection Control
- Sterilization workflow and autoclave process
- Instrument handling and infection-control protocol
- Surgical room readiness for implant and full-arch cases
- Clean water, imaging, and emergency escalation process
Materials and Treatment Records
- Implant brand and lot documentation
- Crown, bridge, denture, or zirconia material specification
- CBCT, panoramic X-ray, or digital imaging availability
- Treatment notes and records patients can share with a US dentist
Pricing and Patient Experience
- Written quotes with inclusions and exclusions
- Policy for deposits, refunds, revisions, and warranty claims
- English-speaking coordination for US patients

Patient Questions for Any Clinic
Use these questions with MxSmiles, another facilitator, or a clinic you contact yourself. Wait for written answers before you send a deposit.
- 1. Treating dentist: Ask for their full name, license, specialty training, and who performs each part of treatment.
- 2. Included materials: Ask for implant brand, abutment type, temporary teeth material, final prosthesis material, and warranty terms.
- 3. Excluded costs: Ask about extractions, grafting, sinus lift, anesthesia, medications, imaging, hotel, airport transport, and emergency revisions.
- 4. Visit count: Ask what happens if swelling, bone quality, healing, or lab timing changes the plan.
- 5. Records for home: Ask for X-rays, CT scans, implant identifiers, surgical notes, and follow-up instructions for a US dentist.
Referral Fees
MxSmiles is free for patients. Partner clinics pay us a referral fee if you choose treatment through them.
Verification Independence
Clinic fees do not improve verification status, placement above safer options, or removal of red flags from your review.
